Organizer guide: How to change the names on guest tickets

This article is for Event Organizers who need to modify the name listed on a guest's ticket(s).

Are you a ticket buyer? If you're looking to update the name on your own ticket, you’ll need to contact the event organizer. Click here for steps on how to contact the organizer.

How to update ticket names

1. Access transactions

• Log into your dashboard.
• Click Transactions from the pop-out menu.

2. Find the transaction

• Use the search bar to locate the transaction using one of the following:
  • Buyer name
  • Email address
  • Last 4 digits of the credit card
  • Invoice ID
  • Date of purchase
  • Payment type

3. Start the name change

• Once you find the transaction, click the gear icon at the bottom left.
• Select Modify name on tickets.

4. Choose how to apply the changes

• Bulk Modification: Change the name on all tickets in the transaction at once.

• Individual Modification: Choose from the two options below:
  • Tickets Grouped Under: Update the name all tickets are grouped under (useful for group pickup).
    
    
     
    • Name on Ticket: Click See ticket details to update each ticket name individually.
      
      

5. Update names

• Enter the new names as needed for each ticket.

6. Save your changes

• Click Update to save the name changes.

7. Confirmation and optional resend

• You'll see confirmation that names have been updated.
• (Optional) Resend the confirmation email to the buyer with the updated ticket names.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why can’t I find the transaction?
Double-check spelling, date filters, or payment details. If the buyer checked out as a guest, try using the last 4 digits of their card.

Can ticket buyers do this themselves?
Not currently. Name changes must be handled by the Organizer.

Does this update the ticket PDF and check-in list?
Yes, the updated names will reflect in both places.
