Organizer guide: Selling custom ticket packages at the box office

Custom Ticket Packages are now compatible with the box office! This feature allows staff to sell bundled tickets directly through the 'Sell Tix' interface, offering guests more flexible purchasing options at the point of sale.

Important: Custom Ticket Packages must be created before you can sell them at the box office. See our article on creating custom ticket packages.

How to sell a custom ticket package

  • From the dashboard pop-out menu, select Sell Tix.

  • Locate the event and ticket package you'd like to sell. If it doesn’t appear, use the Search Events function or filter by date range.
  • Select the package ticket type and enter the desired quantity.

Select package contents

  • A new screen will appear displaying the package selection options.

  • Click on the tickets the guest wants to include in the package. Selected items will turn green.

  • The counter on the right will show how many more selections are required.
  • Once all required selections are made, click Add to cart.

Review cart and complete purchase

  • The Cart Summary will now display the package items. You can also apply discount codes or ticket credits.
  • In the Details section, select if the guest is a new or existing customer.

Select delivery and payment methods

  • Ticket/Product & Receipt Delivery:
    • Print: Downloads tickets for local printing
    • Email: Sends tickets and receipt to guest’s email
    • Each delivery type (tickets vs. receipt) can be set independently
  • Payment Methods:
    • Cash: No service fees applied. You are responsible for handling the payment.
    • Card: Requires credit card entry; standard service fees apply (unless absorbed).
    • Complimentary: Entire order is free (requires Advanced Box Office permissions).
  • Include in Stats: Unchecking this box automatically sets tickets as complimentary.

Once all selections are made, you can choose to Put On Hold or Process Order.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why isn’t the event or package appearing in Sell Tix?
Use the search bar or filter by date range to locate the event. Confirm the package ticket type is active and visible to box office staff.

Why can’t I complete a complimentary order?
Only employees with the "Advanced Box Office" permission can process complimentary orders. Contact your team admin to adjust permissions if needed.

Can I apply multiple payment types?
No. Each order must be completed with a single payment method.
