Organizer guide: Campus Discovery Page

What is a Campus Discovery Page?

A Campus Discovery Page is a public-facing event hub page on Showpass that aggregates events from multiple venues in one place. Instead of students having to visit each club or organization's individual page, they can browse everything happening on campus from a single URL.

Discovery pages are ideal for:

  • Universities and colleges managing multiple student clubs or faculties
  • Sports associations with member clubs hosting events independently
  • Any parent organization that wants a single destination for attendees to discover events across all its child organizations

Each page has its own URL, banner image, and description, and can be scoped to show events from a specific set of venues or all venues under a parent organization.

Why use a Campus Discovery Page?

For organizations with many sub-groups — such as a university with dozens of student clubs — it can be hard for attendees to know where to look. A Campus Discovery Page brings all events under your umbrella into one browsable, branded hub. It increases event visibility across your network without requiring each club to coordinate their own promotion.

How it works

Campus Discovery Pages pull in events based on the venues you configure with Showpass:

  • Parent venue scoping: Events from all child venues under a parent organization are automatically included. As new clubs register as sub-organizations, their events appear on the page without any extra setup.
  • Specific venue scoping: You can also scope the page to specific venue IDs if you want more control over which organizations appear.

Events on the page are organised using Showpass algorithms that weigh a range of signals — they are not listed in simple chronological order. Events are surfaced in sections like Highlights, Popular, and This weekend, as well as by category, so students can easily find what is most relevant to them.

The page is live at a Showpass URL based on the slug configured during setup (for example, showpass.com/discover/your-campus).

Setting this up

Campus Discovery Pages are set up by the Showpass team on your behalf — there is no self-serve configuration in your organizer Dashboard. To request one, reach out to your Client Success Manager or submit a support request.

When you reach out, have the following ready:

  • The name and description you want displayed on the page
  • Your parent organization's venue ID (if you want to pull in all child venue events automatically)
  • Or the specific venue IDs you want to include
  • A banner image and thumbnail for the page
  • Your preferred URL slug (for example, yourcampus-events for showpass.com/discover/yourcampus-events)

Notes

  • Campus Discovery Pages support both English and French descriptions.
  • If you use parent venue scoping, new sub-organizations added under your parent venue will automatically appear on the page once their events are published.
  • If you use specific venue scoping, new venues must be added manually by contacting Showpass.
  • The page goes live as soon as Showpass enables it — no additional action is needed on your end.
