Organizer guide: Branding suite

The Showpass Branding Suite is your central place to define your brand identity on Showpass. Everything you configure here — your logo, colours, fonts, and sender identity — becomes the default across your event pages, checkout, emails, and other organizer-facing surfaces. Think of it as your brand foundation: set it once, and it flows through everything automatically.

Individual events can override specific branding fields when needed, but the Branding Suite is what sets the baseline for your entire Showpass presence.

What's included

  • Logo & header image — appears in the navbar across all your branded pages
  • Colours & theme — primary colour, secondary colour, background colour, and light/dark colour mode
  • Typography — heading and body fonts (applied to transactional emails)
  • Sender identity — the From name, From email, and Reply-To email used on all outgoing emails

How to set up your Branding Suite

Step 1 — Logo & Images

Navigate to Branding → Visual Identity in your organizer dashboard, or go directly to /manage/branding/. Under Logo & Images, upload your brand logo and header image.

  • Accepted formats: JPG or PNG
  • Logo: recommended 600px × 200px, max 3MB
  • Header image: recommended 1200px × 600px, max 5MB

Step 2 — Colours & Theme

Under Colours & Theme, click Edit and enter your brand hex codes for:

  • Primary colour — used for main buttons and key actions
  • Secondary colour — used for supporting visual elements

Then choose your Colour mode (Light or Dark) and your Layout preset (Classic or Hero). These become the defaults across all your pages.

Step 3 — Typography

Under Typography, choose a heading font and a body font from the available options. You can filter by category: Sans-serif, Serif, Display, or Mono. Fonts apply to transactional emails only.

Step 4 — Sender Identity

Go to Branding → Emails → Sender. Set your Sender name, Reply-to email, and Email background colour.

If you'd like to send from your own domain, contact Showpass support to arrange domain verification first. If no verified domain is set up, emails will send from the default Showpass sender.

Step 5 — Email Customization

Go to Branding → Emails → Customization to customize individual email types. For each email type you can set:

  • A custom subject line
  • A reply-to email address
  • A branded banner image (JPG/PNG, recommended 1200px × 600px, max 3MB)
  • A personalized message in the email body

Use Send preview email to check how your email looks before it goes live.

Step 6 — Save

Click Save in each section. Your branding is now the default for your organizer profile and all events, emails, and surfaces under your venue.

Overriding branding for a specific event

You can override any branding field at the event level while inheriting everything else from your Branding Suite. Only the fields you explicitly change will be overridden.

  1. Go to the event's Edit page in your dashboard.
  2. Scroll to Manage and click Branding.
  3. Change only the fields that need to differ. Leave everything else blank to inherit from your venue settings.
  4. Save and preview.

Email types affected

Your branding flows into all transactional emails automatically, including:

  • Purchase confirmation
  • Event reminder
  • Post-event email
  • Abandoned cart
  • Membership renewal
  • Hold email
  • Waitlist cancellation confirmation

Fonts — Your heading font applies to H1 and H2 styles. Your body font applies to body text, small text, and button labels. Note that some email clients (particularly Outlook desktop) may fall back to system fonts.

Background colour — The background colour set in the Sender section applies to all transactional emails. Primary and secondary colours do not affect email rendering.

Post-event emails — Post-event emails are free and available to all organizers. No additional setup or opt-in is required.

Email preview — Always send yourself a preview email after making changes. Check it on both desktop and mobile — Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail can all render things differently.

Tips

  • Use a horizontal or rectangular logo, not a square. Square logos render very small in the navbar.
  • Make sure your logo works on dark backgrounds if you're using Dark colour mode.
  • Use a recognizable From name (e.g., "Calgary Expo Tickets" rather than "noreply") — attendees are more likely to open emails from a name they recognize.
  • Use a 2:1 aspect ratio for your header image for best results.
  • Always preview in an incognito window after saving. Cached styles can make it look like nothing changed.

Known limitations

  • Font selection is limited to a curated list.
  • Primary and secondary colours do not affect email rendering — only the background colour is applied to emails.
  • Full HTML template customization is not available.
