Organizer guide: Building memberships
This guide walks you through how to create and configure membership groups and levels in Showpass.
Step 1: Create a membership group
The membership group is the overall structure of your membership product. All pricing tiers (levels) and shared benefits live inside it.
- Navigate to the Memberships section of your dashboard.
- Click Create membership.
Fill in the membership group details:
- Enter a name for your membership (e.g., “2025/26 Season Pass”).
- Select a renewal frequency — choose Seasonal for season passes, or Yearly for annual memberships.
- Choose your visibility:
- Public: anyone can purchase.
- Sellers only: only seller accounts can issue it.
- Hidden: not visible unless directly linked.
- For season passes, set a season name (e.g., “2025/26”) and the season start and end dates.
- Set an expiry date if applicable.
- Upload a membership image and add a description.
- Click Save to create your membership group as a draft.
💡 Tip: Any benefits added at the group level will apply to every level inside it. Save time by adding shared benefits here rather than on each level individually.
Step 2: Create membership levels
Levels define the different pricing tiers and access rules within your membership group. A hockey season pass might have levels like Youth, Adult, and Senior.
- In your draft membership group, click Manage levels.
- Click New level.
- Fill in the level details:
- Name: e.g., Youth, Adult, Senior, VIP.
- Description: what this level includes or who it’s for.
- Price: the cost to purchase this level.
- Inventory: how many are available.
- Purchase limit: the maximum number a single buyer can purchase.
- Visibility: public, sellers only, or hidden.
- Click Save when finished. Repeat for each level you need.
⚠️ Important: You must save your membership group before adding levels. Complete all levels before proceeding to save time and avoid duplicating steps.
Step 3: Add benefits
Once your levels are saved, add benefits to define what members actually receive — scan access to events, issued tickets, discounts, and more.

Step 4: Publish your membership
When your group, levels, and benefits are all configured and ready to go:
- Go to Edit on the membership group.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Publish.
Your membership will now be live and available for purchase on Showpass.
