Organizer guide: Creating auto discounts for bulk or tiered purchases

Auto Discounts apply automatically to a ticket buyer's basket once specific conditions are met—no promo code needed. This feature is ideal for encouraging upsells, such as offering a discount when buyers purchase in bulk or spend over a certain amount.
How to create an Auto Discount
To begin:
- Navigate to your Discounts section in the dashboard
- Select the Auto Discounts tab
- Click Create Discount in the top-right or center of the page
Set the discount type and name
- Select Auto Discount
- Enter a Discount Name – this name will appear to the ticket buyer once the discount is triggered
Define the purchase requirements
Choose one of the following conditions that must be met for the discount to apply:
- Purchase amount: Set a minimum spend (e.g., $50)
- Item type quantity: Require a certain number of events, products, or memberships (e.g., buy tickets to 2 different events)
- Basket quantity: Require a total number of items in the cart (e.g., buy 5 items)
Optional: Add tiered pricing
You can create multiple discount levels based on increasing thresholds. Click Add Tier to define variations such as:
- $6.49 purchase = $1 off
- $19.99 purchase = $2 off
- $22 purchase = $3 off
- $600 purchase = $5 off
Set how the discount is applied
You can choose one of the following Discount Application types:
Single application to entire order:
- The discount applies once to the total basket
- Select what the discount applies to:
- All items of this type
- Certain items of this type – choose specific events, products, or memberships
- Everything except certain items
Apply to each item individually
- The discount applies to each eligible item in the cart
- Use the same selection options as above to target items
Configure limits and rules
- Usage limits per customer
- Item limits per customer
- Total number of uses (organization-wide)
Set active dates and location
- Activation date – when the discount becomes active
- End date (optional)
- Location: Apply online, at the box office, or both
Click Save to create your Auto Discount.
Managing your Auto Discounts
Return to the Auto Discounts tab to manage all created discounts. Hover over a discount and click the three dots to:
- Edit
- Duplicate
- Deactivate
