Organizer guide: Sending SMS messages to ticket buyers
Organizers with SMS messaging enabled can send direct texts to their guests for updates or urgent event-related information. This feature is available through the Network Management section of your Showpass dashboard.
Access the SMS feature
- Open your dashboard pop-out menu
- Select Network Management
- Click the Send SMS button in the top-right corner of the screen
Don't see the SMS option?
If a message appears stating that SMS is not enabled for your account, you’ll need to request access. To enable SMS messaging:
- Submit a request to our support team and ask to have SMS messaging enabled for your organization.
Compose and send your message
If your account has SMS enabled, a dialog box will appear. To send your message:
- Enter the content of your message in the text field
- Click Send SMS once you're ready
A confirmation screen will appear, summarizing:
- The number of SMS messages to be sent
- The total cost of the message
FAQs
Can I use SMS to promote an event?
No. SMS messaging must only be used for operational or event-related communication—not for marketing or promotions.
Can ticket buyers send an SMS or reply to these messages?
No. This is a one-way communication tool available only to Organizers. Ticket buyers cannot use this feature.
I’m a ticket buyer and didn’t get a text. Can support send it to me?
Showpass Support does not have access to re-send SMS messages. Please reach out directly to the event Organizer through the event page or use the Request Form.
