Organizer guide: Troubleshooting Facebook event creation issues

If you're having trouble creating or publishing your Showpass event on Facebook, there are several common causes and solutions. Follow the checklist below to ensure your event meets all Facebook integration requirements.

Checklist for Facebook event creation

  • Ensure your event has a complete location
    Facebook requires a valid event address. If your event is missing a location, the Facebook Integration button will not appear on your event card in Showpass.

  • Confirm the Facebook integration permission is enabled
    If this is your first time creating a Facebook event through Showpass and you don’t see tickets listed under Available Tickets, your account may not have the necessary permissions enabled. Please contact our team to request access.

  • Note: Facebook integration is not available on the Basic tier. Upgrade to the Standard plan to access this feature.
  • Accept all Showpass Facebook permissions
    You must accept all requested permissions when connecting your Facebook account to Showpass. If permissions were previously denied:
    • Visit your Facebook Business Integrations page
    • Remove Showpass
    • Return to Showpass and reconnect your Facebook account, accepting all permissions when prompted
  • You must be an Admin on your Facebook page
    Only Facebook users with Admin rights can publish events. Confirm your role on the page through Facebook's role management guide.
  • Remove page restrictions
    Facebook pages with location, age, or country restrictions may prevent event publishing. Temporarily remove these restrictions and re-add them after posting the event.
  • Avoid creating and deleting events directly on Facebook
    If an event created through Showpass is deleted directly from Facebook, it cannot be recreated using the same listing. Instead:
    • Duplicate the event within Showpass
    • Delete the original event through Showpass
    • Try again with the new duplicate

Troubleshooting FAQs

What if my tickets aren't showing up on Facebook?
Check that the event has a complete address and that you’ve accepted all Showpass Facebook permissions. Also confirm that you're on a plan tier that supports Facebook integration.

How can I check if I'm a Facebook page admin?
Go to your Facebook Page settings → Page Roles to verify your permissions. You must be an Admin to use Facebook event publishing through Showpass.

Why can’t I see the “Facebook Integration” button on my event card?
This button will only appear if the event has a valid address and you have the necessary permissions enabled in Showpass.
