Organizer guide: Creating checkout links for faster ticket sales
Checkout links streamline the ticket purchasing process by pre-loading selected tickets into a buyer's cart. As an Organizer, you can use this feature to simplify the checkout experience—ideal for promotions, direct sales outreach, or simplifying bulk orders.
Note: Checkout links cannot be used with assigned seating events.
How to create a checkout link
- From your dashboard pop-out menu, select Tracking Links.
- Click Create Tracking Link in the top-left corner of the page.
- Ensure Checkout Link is selected as the type.
- Add a descriptive label under Description so you can easily identify it later.
- Select the specific event the link should be tied to.
- Enter the default number of tickets to pre-load into the basket. Buyers can still adjust quantities before completing checkout.
- Click Create Link to finalize.
- Copy the newly generated checkout link and share it via your preferred marketing or communication channel.
When a ticket buyer clicks on the link, they’ll be taken directly to the checkout screen with the pre-selected items loaded for them to review and purchase.
Track link performance
Once shared, you can monitor the performance of your checkout link—including visits and conversions—directly from the Tracking Links page.
Troubleshooting and tips
- Nothing loads when the link is clicked: Make sure the event is active and tickets are available.
- Wrong event appears: Double-check that the correct event was selected during link creation.
- Need to change quantities or details? Delete the old link and create a new one with the updated settings.
