Organizer guide: Publishing your Showpass event to Facebook
Showpass makes it easy to publish your events directly to your Facebook page. This guide walks you through how to integrate your Showpass event with Facebook, either by creating a new event or linking to an existing one.
Before you start
You must be an Admin on your Facebook page in order to use this feature. If you are not an admin, you will not be able to complete the publishing steps.
How to publish your event to Facebook
- Create your event in Showpass.
- Navigate to the Manage Events page from your dashboard pop-out menu.
- Select the event you want to publish, then click Facebook Integration.
- You can also access this feature in the sidebar when managing an individual event.
Choose your integration type
- Select whether to:
- Create a new Facebook event
- Add tickets to an existing Facebook event
Configure your Facebook event
- Select the Facebook page you want to publish to.
- By default, the event name and description will be pulled from your Showpass event. You can customize these fields before publishing.
- Choose a Facebook event category that best fits your event.
Publish your Facebook event
- Choose one of the following:
- Create a Facebook Draft: Saves a draft version of your event
- Publish to Facebook: Publishes the event live on your selected page
Accept the co-host invitation
Once your event is published:
- Log in to Facebook and click your profile image in the top right corner.
- Select View all profiles.
- Choose the page where the event was published.
- Navigate to the event URL and accept the co-host invitation to finalize the connection.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Facebook Integration button.
Make sure your event has a full address, as this is required for Facebook integration.
I'm not seeing the Facebook page I want to publish to.
Verify that you are an Admin of the page. Editors or other roles cannot publish events.
I rejected Facebook permissions earlier.
You will need to revisit your Facebook settings and reauthorize Showpass. Manage app permissions here.
Can I do this on the Basic plan?
Facebook event integration is only available to accounts on Standard plans and above. Contact us to upgrade your plan if needed.
