Attraction style calendar landing page for events

Overview

Recurring events or events with multiple time slots can be transformed into a calendar view for customers to purchase from by utilizing an attraction style landing page. When a customer clicks on Buy Tickets, they'll be able to select from a calendar view instead of a list of dates and times, making for an easy to navigate and visually appealing purchase experience.

Step 3: Add New Sections or Edit Existing Sections

Within the Attraction Page editor, you can:

  • Create New Sections: Organize your events into clear, logical groups (e.g., Races, Packages, etc.).
  • Edit Existing Sections: Click to expand a section and adjust the events listed or update the description for that section.

Important Note:

  • Only Calendar or Single Event sections are editable.
  • Product and Membership sections are displayed as image carousels on the detail page.

Adding Events to Sections

  • You can only add single events or parent events from recurring event series.
  • Child events from recurring series cannot be added directly.
  • Once events are added to a section, the section type becomes locked and cannot be changed. Finalize the structure before adding events.
  • For your case: Add all of the single race events and select "Event Calendar" as the section type.

Step 4: Customize Event and Ticket Visibility

  • For each event added, decide which ticket types will be displayed on the Attraction Page.
  • Important: Due to a current bug, do not select the "Display All" option.
    • Ensure this option is toggled off.
    • Manually enable each individual ticket type correctly.
  • Toggle visibility for specific ticket types to provide your patrons with the most relevant options.

Additional Notes

  • Events added to the Attraction-Style Landing Page will not appear on your organizer profile.
  • Instead, they will be grouped under the dedicated Attraction Page.
  • Ensure all added sections and events maintain consistency in branding and descriptions to enhance the user experience.
