Organizer guide: How to connect your Square account and terminal to Showpass

Integrating your Square account and terminal with Showpass enables fast and secure in-person payments directly from the Box Office. This guide walks you through connecting both your Square account and Square Terminal.

In this article, you will learn how to:

  • Connect your Square account to Showpass
  • Sign into Square via the integration page
  • Verify the integration was successful
  • Connect a Square Terminal for card-present transactions

1. Connect your Square account

New UI:

  • In the Showpass Box Office, navigate to Settings.
  • Click the Connect Account button to begin the integration.
  • You’ll be redirected to the Showpass-Square integration page.

Legacy UI:

  • On the integration page, click Connect Square Account.
  • You will be redirected to the Square login page—enter your credentials to sign in.

2. Verify the connection

  • Once signed in, you’ll be returned to Showpass.
  • You should now see your Square account listed as connected in the Box Office settings.

3. Connect your Square Terminal

  • Ensure your Square account is connected in Showpass before proceeding.
  • Click Connect Terminal.

  • A modal will appear showing a unique device code.

On your Square Terminal:

  • Select Sign In, then choose Use a device code.
  • Enter the device code shown in the Showpass modal.

  • Return to Showpass and click Check Status in the modal.

If successful:

  • You will see a green checkmark next to Connect Square Terminal.

To unpair the terminal:

  • Click the Square Terminal Connected button (green).
  • A popup will appear with the option to Unpair the device.
