Organizer guide: Using Access Pin to override staff permissions at Box Office

The Access Pin feature allows box office managers to temporarily override staff accounts with limited permissions. This enables actions like issuing refunds or accessing restricted features—without needing to log out or disrupt the active session. It’s ideal for busy venues or shared workstations.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to:

  • Generate and manage your Access Pin
  • Use Access Pin to override permission restrictions
  • Exit override mode when you're done

Setting Access Pin permissions

To use this feature, your account must have the appropriate employee permissions assigned. These are managed by an administrator in the Employee Permissions section.


1. How to generate your Access Pin

  • From the main dashboard, go to Account -> Access Pin.

  • Click Generate Pin.
  • A unique 4-digit code will be created for your user account.

Note: Pins are automatically generated—you cannot create or customize your own.

2. How to regenerate your Access Pin

  • Click Regenerate Pin to invalidate your current code and create a new one.

3. How to deactivate your Access Pin

  • Click the green Active button and select Deactivate.
  • This will immediately disable your pin and revoke override access.

4. Using the Access Pin at Box Office

  • On the Sell screen, click the Access Pin icon.

  • This feature is only available to accounts operating under lower permission levels.

5. Entering the Access Pin

  • Enter your unique 4-digit Access Pin when prompted.
  • If successful, you will temporarily gain elevated access to restricted actions.
  • If unsuccessful, permissions will remain unchanged.

6. Logging out of override mode

  • Click the Access Pin button again to exit override mode.
  • This will restore the original permissions of the logged-in staff account.

Note: The override remains active until manually exited or the user logs out completely.
