Organizer guide: How to sell assigned seating in the Box Office

The Showpass Box Office allows you to sell assigned seating tickets with a visual seat map. This is especially useful for managing complex seating layouts in-person or over the phone. This guide walks you through the full process, from seat selection to checkout.

  • Understand the map legend and icons
  • Navigate limitations with seat logic

1. Getting started

5. Limitations

Conditional ticket types

You cannot set conditional logic between ticket types. For example, a child ticket cannot be restricted to only be purchased with an adult ticket.

Leaving seats at the end of a row

You cannot leave a single seat stranded at the end of a row. If you attempt to remove a seat and leave an orphaned seat at the edge, you’ll be prompted to also remove the adjacent seat. This prevents layout inefficiencies and ensures better seat utilization.
