Organizer guide: How to assign and view ticket buyer information in the Box Office
Assigning ticket buyers to transactions allows you to access their information during checkout, track past purchases, and apply any holds or credits. This guide shows how to add or search for a ticket buyer and view their profile in real time.
In this article, you will learn how to:
- Add a ticket buyer to a transaction
- Search for and select an existing ticket buyer
- View ticket buyer profile information and history
1. Add a ticket buyer
- Click Customer Info at any point—before or after adding items to the cart.
- A modal will open where you can either add a new ticket buyer or search for an existing one.
New ticket buyer:
- Enter the Name, Email, and Phone Number (if available).
- Click Add Customer to assign the buyer to the transaction.
Existing ticket buyer:
- Click the Existing Customer tab.
- Search using the buyer’s email or name.
- Click Add Customer to assign them to the cart.
Tip: You can click View Info beside a search result to view profile details before assigning them to a sale.
If no ticket buyer is added:
- You will be prompted to assign a customer on the final checkout screen before processing the transaction.
2. Viewing a ticket buyer’s profile
- Click View Info under the assigned customer’s name to open their profile.
Customer profile tools include:
- Customer Info: View or update name, email, and contact details.
- Transactions: View all past orders tied to this ticket buyer.
- Customer Notes: View or add internal notes about this customer.
- Holds: View, process, or edit any ticket holds assigned to the customer.
- Ticket Credits: Apply unused ticket credits to current transactions.
- Account Credits: Apply available account credits at checkout.
