Organizer guide: Creating a preset ticket package
A preset ticket package is a predefined bundle of tickets where, upon purchasing the parent ticket, the ticket buyer automatically receives a fixed set of child tickets for specific events or activities. This setup offers a convenient way to grant access to multiple experiences with one transaction.
If you'd like ticket buyers to select their own tickets from a list, check out our Custom Ticket Packages guide.
Terminology
- Parent Event: The event that contains the package's parent ticket type.
- Child Event: The event that contains the child ticket types (can include multiple events).
- Parent Ticket: The main ticket purchased, which unlocks all child tickets.
- Child Ticket: The individual tickets automatically issued as part of the package.
Example: Hockey Season Pass
- Parent Ticket: Season Pass
- Child Tickets: One ticket for each game in the hockey season
Purchasing the Season Pass grants access to every game without the need to buy tickets separately. All buyers receive the same ticket bundle.
How to create a preset ticket package
Step 1: Create the parent event
- Set up a new event that will host the Parent Ticket Type.
- This event serves as the "container" for the ticket package and does not have to be one of the child events.
Step 2: Add parent ticket types to the parent event
- Create ticket types such as “Weekend Pass” or “Adult Season Pass.”
- These tickets represent the full package and will trigger the delivery of all associated child tickets.
Step 3: Create child events and ticket types
- Create all child events you want included in the package.
- Ensure appropriate ticket types are created within each event.
- Child events can be within the same or different events as the parent.
Step 4: Build the preset ticket package
- Go to your dashboard and open the pop-out menu.
- Select Ticket Packages.
- Click Create Ticket Package in the top right corner.
- Choose Preset and click Next.
Specify package details
- Name your package (e.g., “Hockey Season 2025”).
- Select the parent event and corresponding parent ticket type.
- Add child tickets by selecting Add Child Ticket.
- You can add multiple child events and ticket types.
- Click Save Package once all selections are made.
Step 5: Manage your ticket package
- All packages will be listed on the Ticket Packages main page.
- You can view, edit, or delete packages as needed.
- When ticket buyers access the parent event, they’ll see the preset package available for purchase.
