Organizer guide: Using Branded Sponsorship Portals (Dynamic Hold Links)

Branded Sponsorship Portals, also known as branded holds or Dynamic Hold Links, let you reserve specific tickets, products or memberships for sponsors or partners. The hold link leads to a branded landing page where recipients can buy the items you set aside, and they can choose just a portion of the available items rather than the full basket.

Create a branded hold

1. Open the Box Office and add the tickets, products or memberships to your cart.
2. Click Continue.
3. Under Customer information, add a new or existing customer.
4. Optional: click Set expiry to choose when the hold expires.
5. Click Branded sponsor hold.
6. A window opens so you can email the hold link to the customer, with an optional custom message. Click Send, or Not now to share it later.

Branded sponsor hold is unavailable while Complimentary basic hold link is selected.

Customize your hold link

1. Go to the Holds tab in the Box Office and expand the hold marked Branded hold.
2. Click Customize hold link.

In the Branded Hold Link window, set any of the following, then click Save Hold:

• Purchase limits: a minimum and maximum amount for the hold's inventory. These apply to every offering in the hold.
• Banner image: a JPG or PNG at least 1120 pixels wide by 280 pixels high, up to 3MB, shown on the hold's landing page.
• Description: optional text with more information for the recipient.
• Hold expiry: when the hold expires.

Share the link

From the expanded hold, copy the Branded hold link, or click Email hold link to send it to the customer.

What the recipient sees

Recipients land on a branded checkout page showing the available tickets, products or memberships. They can select the items they want to purchase, within the purchase limits you set, then proceed to checkout, enter their details and complete the purchase.

This makes it easy for you to manage sponsor access and for guests to redeem special offers without promo codes or manual coordination.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Why can't I see the Branded sponsor hold option?
Add at least one item to the cart and a customer at checkout. The option is unavailable while Complimentary basic hold link is selected.

What happens if I don't customize the purchase limits?
The maximum amount starts at 1. Raise it to allow bulk redemptions.
