Organizer guide: How to customize confirmation emails and ticket branding
You can personalize the post-purchase experience for your Ticket Buyers by customizing confirmation emails, ticket PDFs, branding, and ad space. These changes can be made at the event level or across your entire Organizer profile.
Customizing confirmation email messaging
- Edit the event from your Manage Events page.
- Scroll to Order Form & Messaging.
- Enter a custom message in the text box labelled Display & Email Message.
- Click Save Event at the bottom of the page.
This message will appear in the confirmation email sent to Ticket Buyers after purchase.
Customizing ticket PDFs, branding, and ad space
- From the Manage Events page, select Ticket Settings (top right corner).
- Upload a default logo and ad image.
- Add a short custom message for all tickets generated for this event.
Ticket type-specific branding
- Click the gear icon next to the ticket type you'd like to edit.
- Navigate to the General tab and scroll to the bottom.
- Edit the Ad image here.
Note: Adding a second ad image will replace the "Upcoming Events" section normally shown on PDF tickets.
Setting terms & conditions for ticket PDFs
- In Ticket Settings, enter your custom terms in the Ticket PDF Terms & Conditions box.
- This will override the default terms provided by Showpass and appear on every ticket.
Custom messaging at the organization level
- Go to Settings and find the Organization Info section.
- Enter a Checkout Message that will be applied to all confirmation emails by default.
Important: If you add a checkout message at the event level, it will override the organization-level default for that event only.
Examples
- Confirmation Email: “This is your order confirmation” → set in Display & Email Message.
- Ticket PDF: “Check out our cool event!” → set in Ticket PDF Custom Message.
- Receipt: “Check out our cool event!” → Ticket PDF Custom Message.
Troubleshooting or FAQs
What happens if I set both an event and organization checkout message?
The event-level message will override the organization-level message for that specific event.
Can I apply a unique ad image for each ticket type?
Yes, navigate to each ticket type’s gear icon, then the General tab to set individual ad images.
Do changes to ticket branding apply retroactively?
No, changes apply to tickets issued after the update. Previously issued tickets will not be altered.
