Organizer guide: Managing advanced ticket type settings

Each ticket type in your event can be customized using advanced settings to control pricing, notifications, transfers, access, and more. This guide covers each of the available settings and how to configure them.

Accessing ticket type settings

To access the advanced settings for a ticket type:

  • Edit your event from the Organizer dashboard.
  • Scroll to the Ticket Types section.
  • Click the gear icon beside the ticket type you wish to modify.

General settings

Customize the core ticket properties:

  • Name and Description
  • Price and Inventory
  • Purchase Limits: Set minimum and maximum purchase quantities per transaction
  • Allow Purchases via Ticket Credits
  • Force Auto Check-In on Purchase
  • Set Scan Limits
  • Set Sales Start/End Times
  • Add Images to enhance presentation

Financial settings

Manage financial rules at the ticket level:

Transfer settings

Enable or disable ticket transfers between Ticket Buyers.

Notification settings

Choose how and when you or your team are notified:

  • Ticket Sale Notifications: Email employees when tickets are sold
  • Low Inventory Notification: Select recipients and threshold levels
  • Exclude Ticket PDF: Choose whether to include the ticket in the Ticket Buyer’s confirmation email

Password settings

Add password protection to a ticket type to restrict access:

  • The event must be saved before adding a password.
  • Ticket Buyers will be prompted to enter the password during checkout.

Auto release settings

This feature allows you to automatically release ticket types based on inventory levels of preceding tickets. Ideal for:

  • Pre-sale and general sale transitions
  • Tiered pricing strategies
  • Event capacity management

Steps to enable:

  1. Ensure the event and all ticket types are saved.
  2. Edit the first ticket type in the sequence and open the Auto Release tab.
  3. Set a Release Limit (remaining inventory) to trigger the next ticket type.
  4. Select the next tier ticket type to release.
  5. Click Add to confirm and Next to save.

Visibility tip: Any ticket types not immediately available should be marked as Hidden or Visible to Sellers only. Once released, their visibility will automatically switch to Public.

Use this section to configure external integrations (currently Cinesend only):

  • Integration Provider
  • Integration Type: Subscription or Voucher
  • Integration Parameter
