Connecting Your Square Terminal to Showpass - Admin Access
The Square Terminal is intended for events with Assigned Seating, and can also be used for events with General Admission. It can be paired with a desktop, laptop, or iPad through the web POS app. It is also compatible with the Star Micronics Printers.
In order to connect Square to your Showpass account, you will need to navigate to your dashboard pop-out menu and select ‘Integrations.’
Select ‘Connect Square Account’ to the right of the Square integration.
You will be redirected to Square where you will need to enter your log-in credentials.
Once logged in, you will be redirected back to the Showpass site where you will be required to choose a Square location to proceed with.
After you have authorized your Square account, you will be redirected back to the Showpass site where you will need to select ‘Connect Square Terminal.’
A device code will then show up on the screen.
Please note: This code will only work for the device that the code is being generated on. E.g. If generated on a laptop, then that is the laptop that will pair with the connected device. This code cannot transfer to another laptop.
Ensure your Square terminal is turned on, and on the login page, select ‘Use a device code.’
You will be taken to a new page where you will enter the device code that is displayed on the Showpass site.
Enter the device code and sign in.
Once connected, you can click on ‘Check status’ and it will tell you if your device is connected.
You will now be connected to your terminal and ready to take payments.
Please note: You can only have one Square terminal connected per Showpass login.
Connecting Your Square Terminal to Showpass - Box Office Only Access
You will need to navigate to your dashboard pop-out menu and select ‘Sell Tix.’
Select ‘Connect Square Terminal’ in the top right corner.
A device code will appear on screen.
Enter that code on the terminal and you will be ready to start selling.
