Showpass Mobile App: Ticket Buyer Guide

This guide covers how to use the Showpass mobile app to browse events, purchase tickets, manage your orders, and access your tickets on event day.

Download the app

The Showpass app is available for free on iOS and Android.

  • iOS: Download from the App Store (requires iOS 12.0 or later).
  • Android: Download from the Google Play Store (requires Android 6.0 or later).

Creating an account

  1. Open the Showpass app. Tap the menu or Account tab.
  2. Select Sign up to create a new account, or use Sign in using Facebook or Apple ID.

You can create a Showpass account using your email, Facebook, or Apple ID. Having an account lets you save events, view your upcoming tickets, access your order history, and use the Universal QR Code for easy entry.

You can also check out as a guest without creating an account, but you won't have access to features like Saved events, Upcoming events, or order management within the app.

Exploring events

When you open the app, you'll land on the Explore page. Here you can browse events by location, search for specific events or venues, filter by category (Performances, Activities, Festivals, Seasonal), and view Unique Experiences in your area.

Purchasing tickets

Step 1: Select tickets

Find your event and tap to view details. You'll see event information including date, time, venue, and a map link. Select the ticket type and quantity you want, then tap Checkout.

Step 2: Add-ons and recommendations

If the event offers add-ons (merch, food packages, parking, etc.), you can add them to your order. The app may also show recommended events ("You might also like...") that you can add to your cart.

Step 3: Review your order

Review your order on the Review tab. You'll see payment plan options (if available), ticket details, quantities, and pricing.

Below the payment options, you'll see a full cost breakdown including quantity, price, subtotal, Facility Fee, Host Fee, Service Fees, and Grand Total. Tap Enter Code to apply a discount code.

Step 4: Purchaser info

Confirm your purchaser information including full name, phone number, and email address. Check the boxes to accept terms and conditions and optionally subscribe to promotions.

Step 5: Payment

Enter your payment details including billing address and card number. All payments are secure and encrypted.

After your purchase is processed, you'll see a confirmation screen with your order number. A confirmation email with your tickets and receipt is sent to the email address you provided. From the confirmation screen, you can add your ticket to your digital wallet or download your tickets directly.

Managing your tickets

Orders

Tap the Orders tab at the bottom of the app to access your purchases. This section includes:

  • Universal QR Code: A single QR code that works as your entry pass for all your upcoming events. Show this at the door instead of searching for individual tickets.
  • My Orders: View all your past and current orders. Tap an order to see details including Order ID, date, amount paid, payment method, and ticket line items. You can switch between Receipt and Purchase views.
  • View Order: Tap into an order to see the full ticket details including QR code, event dates, ticket holder name, barcode, and ticket type. You can Download the ticket or Add to Apple Wallet (or Google Wallet on Android).
  • Order Options: Expand the Order Options section to access Download tickets, Contact the organizer, Transfer to a friend, and Resend confirmation email.
  • Memberships: View and manage any active memberships purchased through Showpass.
  • Products: View standalone product purchases (merch, packages, etc.).
  • Credits: View any ticket credits available on your account. You can redeem gift card codes here and see Universal Credits and Organizer Credits balances.

Saved events

Tap the Saved tab to see events you've bookmarked for later. Tap the heart icon on any event to save it.

Upcoming events

Tap the Upcoming tab to see a timeline of events you have tickets for, making it easy to plan ahead.

On event day

Accessing your tickets

You have several ways to present your ticket at the door:

  1. Universal QR Code: Open the Orders tab and show your Universal QR Code. This is the fastest method since it covers all your tickets in one scan.
  2. Digital Wallet: If you added your ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, open it directly from your phone's wallet app.
  3. Email: Open the confirmation email and show the QR code or barcode from there.

Tips for a smooth entry

  • Make sure your phone is charged and screen brightness is turned up for scanning.
  • Download your tickets in advance in case you lose cellular service at the venue.
  • If you have multiple tickets for a group, each person will need their own ticket (either forwarded via email or scanned from your phone one at a time).

Account settings

Tap the Account tab to manage your profile. From here you can update your Personal Info, Email, Password, Payment methods, and Notification preferences. You can also Sign Out from this screen.

Guest checkout

If you prefer not to create an account, you can purchase tickets as a guest. Your tickets will be sent to the email address you provide at checkout. Keep in mind that with guest checkout you won't have access to the Saved, Upcoming, or Orders sections in the app, and you won't be able to use the Universal QR Code. You'll need to use the email confirmation instead.

How can I pull up my order history?
 
After logging into your account, you can find your order history by clicking on the ‘Orders’ button at the bottom of the screen and then selecting the ‘My Orders’ option from the menu.
 
Where can I find my tickets?
 
Clicking into the ‘View Order’ option for a specific transaction will bring up the ticket's QR code. Additionally, all of your tickets purchases are also stored in your Universal QR code. The Universal QR Code stores all of your ticket and product purchases under one single QR code, including memberships, making it unique to your account.
 
Will my account information and previous ticket purchases appear on the app?
 
Yes, all of your account information, including previous ticket purchases, will appear after you log in.
 
Can I view my memberships in the app?
 
Yes, you can find your membership information by clicking on the ‘Orders’ button at the bottom of the screen and then selecting the 'Memberships’ option from the menu.
 
Does the app work with assigned seating events?
 
Yes, it is compatible with assigned seating events.
 
 
Does the app work with ticket packages?
 
Yes, you can purchase ticket packages from the app.
 
Can I complete guest checkout in the app?
 
Yes, you can complete guest checkout in the app. However, you will need to login in order to see your saved and upcoming events, as well as your orders and tickets.
 
Where can I access my credits?
 
After you log into your account, click on the ‘Orders’ button at the bottom of the screen. You will then be presented with a menu with a list of options. Clicking on the ‘Credits’ option will allow you to:
  1. Redeem gift cards for credits
  2. Allow you to view your existing credits by type
  • Universal Credits: Can be redeemed for any event on Showpass and are not specific to any one organizer.
  • Organizer Credits: Can only be used for purchases with the organization that issued the credits.
  • Ticket Credits: Credits that are to be redeemed for future events
