1. What is Refund Protection?

Refund Protection is an optional service you can add when purchasing tickets on Showpass. If something unexpected prevents you from attending your event, Refund Protection allows you to request a refund for eligible situations outlined in the Terms & Conditions shown at checkout. It’s designed to give you peace of mind when plans change unexpectedly.

2. How it works

  • Add Refund Protection when buying your tickets at checkout.

  • If you can’t attend for a covered reason, you can submit a refund claim.

  • Claims are reviewed quickly, and if approved, refunds are sent directly to you.

  • You’ll find the claim link in your order confirmation email or in the orders page on Showpass.

3. What does Refund Protection cover?

Refund Protection covers unexpected and verifiable events that prevent you from attending your event.
Common examples include:

  • Illness or injury (you, a companion, or a family member)

  • Death in the family

  • Pregnancy complications or childbirth

  • Accidents or travel delays on the way to the event

  • Jury duty, layoffs, or mandatory work travel

  • Severe weather or urgent home repairs

4. How do I request a refund?

After completing your purchase, you’ll receive a Refund Protection Confirmation email with a personalized link to start your refund request.

You can begin your request in one of two ways:

Option 1 — From your confirmation email:

  1. Open the Refund Protection Confirmation email in your inbox.

  2. Click “Start a Refund Request.”

  3. Follow the guided steps to describe your situation and upload any required documents.

  4. Submit your request for review.

Option 2 — Directly through the Refund Protection portal:

  1. Go to https://requestmyrefund.com/enhancedrefundprogram/refund

  2. Enter the email you used to make your purchase.

  3. Follow the instructions to provide details and upload any supporting documentation.

  4. Submit your request for review.

You’ll receive updates by email once your request has been reviewed and approved.

5. How long does it take to receive my refund?

If your refund request was submitted within the allotted time frame and includes the correct supporting documentation, you can typically expect reimbursement within 5–10 business days after approval.

6. How will I receive my refund?

If you submitted a refund request to our Refund Advocate Team and received an approval email, you will be able to claim your refund through the email sent to your inbox from   with the subject line “Your Refund Protection Payment By Hyperwallet.”

All payments are securely handled through Hyperwallet (a PayPal partner) to ensure your refund is processed safely.

7. Can I cancel Refund Protection?

Yes. You can cancel and receive a refund for the protection fee within 72 hours (3 days) of purchase, as long as the event hasn’t taken place.

To cancel:

  1. Open your Refund Protection confirmation email.

  2. Click Cancel Refund Protection or use the following link: Cancel Refund Protection

  3. Complete the short cancellation form and submit your request.

After 72 hours, or once the event has occurred, the protection fee is no longer refundable. If you have additional questions, contact the Refund Protection Support Team at help@requestmyrefund.com.

8. What if my refund request is denied?

If your claim is denied, you can still reach out to your event organizer. Organizers may choose to issue a goodwill refund at their discretion.

9. Who reviews refund protection requests?

All Refund Protection requests are reviewed by the Refund Adjudicate Team. They evaluate eligibility based on the information and documentation provided in your submission.
