Organizer guide: Creating an event with advanced settings
Organizers can access advanced options during event creation for greater control and customization. Follow the steps below to access and configure these settings.
Accessing the advanced settings
- Navigate to the dashboard pop-out menu and select Create Event.
- The event creation page will open to the Basic Settings.
- To unlock additional options, click on Show Advanced Settings.
What changes in advanced mode?
The Basic Info, Location & Info, and Event Date & Time sections remain unchanged unless recurring events are enabled. However, additional configuration options appear for the remaining sections.
Ticket types
Click the gear icon next to each ticket type to access advanced settings.
Editable sections may include:

- General
- Finance
- Transfers (if enabled)
- Notifications
- Tiered Discounts (if enabled)
- Passwords
- Payment Plans (if enabled)
- Integrations (currently only available for Cinesend)
Additional ticket options on the main screen include:
- Default End Sale Time: Set when ticket sales should stop.
- No Ticket Type Message: Display a message if the event is sold out or has no public tickets.
- Ticket PDF Terms & Conditions: Override the default Showpass terms.
- Ticket PDF Custom Message: Customize messaging displayed on tickets.
Legal policies & important info
This section allows for additional legal and informational content:
- Refund Policy: Check out this article for more information.
- Require Terms & Conditions Acceptance: Require Ticket Buyers to agree to external terms.
- Important Info & Restrictions: Select from a dropdown menu of available options.
Order form & messaging
Customize the checkout experience with:
- A custom checkout message
- Custom questions for Ticket Buyers
Charitable donations
Optionally, enable charitable donations for your event. For setup instructions, refer to the related article on donations.
Financial settings
This section includes event-specific financial configurations:
Advanced options
Final advanced configurations available include:
- Password protect this event: Restrict event access to password holders.
- Link to third-party ticket page: Redirect Ticket Buyers if needed.
- Event report receivers list: Add emails of report recipients.
- Thank You Email Status: Manage thank-you email settings.
Finalizing the event
After updating any of the optional settings, choose Save Draft or Publish to proceed.
