Ticket buyer guide: How to exchange tickets for another event or date
Showpass allows ticket exchanges for select events, letting you change the date, time, or ticket for another of equal or higher value. This feature must be enabled by the event organizer and is not available for all orders.
Before you begin
Please review the following requirements:
- Ticket exchanges are only possible if the event organizer has enabled this feature.
- Exchanges are allowed only for tickets of equal or greater value. You will pay the difference if the new tickets cost more.
- You must exchange the entire order—partial ticket exchanges are not supported.
- Complimentary, transferred, or free tickets are not eligible for exchange.
- You cannot initiate more than one exchange at a time.
- Exchanges must be done via desktop browser; the Showpass app does not support exchanges.
How to exchange your tickets
- Log into your Showpass account and click your name in the top right corner.
- Select Orders from the dropdown menu.
- Ensure My Orders is selected from the left-hand side menu.
- Find the relevant order and expand the Order Options menu.
- If exchanges are enabled, you will see an option to Exchange Tickets. Click it.
- A pop-up will explain the exchange terms. If you agree, click Start Exchange.
- You will see your available exchange credit. Click Browse Available Events.
- You’ll be redirected to the organizer's profile where you can select eligible events and tickets.
- Proceed to checkout. Your exchange credits should apply automatically.
- If not, click Apply Exchange Credit before completing the transaction.
Note: Once the exchange is completed, your original tickets will be voided.
Troubleshooting or FAQs
Why don’t I see the ‘Exchange Tickets’ option?
This means the organizer has not enabled ticket exchanges for this event. You will need to contact them directly if you wish to make a change.
Why aren’t my exchange credits applying?
Ensure you've selected eligible tickets of equal or greater value. If the credit does not apply automatically, use the Apply Exchange Credit button before submitting payment.
Can I exchange one ticket from my order?
No. You must exchange the full order. If you want to make changes to only part of the order, contact the event organizer for alternatives.
