Need to postpone your event? No problem! We can help with that.
Postponing an event can be done in different ways depending on if you know the new date you'd like to have the event or not.
Knowing the New Date
If you know the new date of the event, you will want to navigate to the ‘Manage Events’ page from your dashboard pop out menu.
Find the event you'd like to postpone and select ‘Edit.’
Choose ‘Event Date & Time’ from the left hand side menu.
Choose the new date and time and then save the event.
Don't Know the New Date
If you don't know the new date of the event, you can still set your event to postponed and the date will just show up as TBD.
Postponing without knowing the new date can be done in three places.
1) Event Overview Page
Navigate your dashboard pop-out menu and select ‘Manage Events.’
Find the event that you'd like to postpone and select ‘Manage.’
On the top right hand side, you will see the event status with a drop down menu. Open the drop down and choose ‘Postpone.’
The show will successfully be marked as ‘Postponed.’
In the top left hand corner, you will also see that the date and time are now marked as TBD.
2) Edit Event Page
Change the status with the drop down to the right of the ‘Edit Event’ page. Click ‘Save Event.’
Email Guests Page
Another way you can postpone your event is by using the email guests feature.
Navigate to the dashboard pop-out menu and select ‘Manage Events.’
Find the event that you'd like to postpone and select ‘Edit.’
On the left hand side menu, select ‘Email Guests.’
Ensure all of the ticket types are included, and that you have a subject line and a body section to the email. Once complete, you can select ‘Postponed’ from the drop down menu under ‘Update Event Status’ and send the email.
The event will now be marked as TBD, and this will send out an email to ticket buyers letting them know that an event has been postponed, as well as updating the status of it in the process.
Once you have a date solidified for the postponed show, you can switch the status back to active and add in the new date!
Navigate to your dashboard admin pop-out menu and select ‘Manage Events.’
Find the event that has been postponed and select ‘Manage.’
On the top right hand side, select the dropdown box and choose ‘Active.’
After the event has been switched to ‘Active’, you will need to add in the new dates by selecting ‘Edit’ and ‘Event Date & Time’ on the left hand side.
Choose the new start and end time and then save the event.
