Showpass works with Benevity and the Canadian Online Giving Foundation (COGF), a Canadian registered charity, in order to facilitate donations to different charities. Event organizers choose which charity they would like to support with their event, and you as a ticket buyer have the option to donate during the checkout process!
If an event that you are purchasing tickets for has a charitable donations component, you will be prompted to donate on the review page and will also be able to view the details of the charity that the organizer has chosen.
A suggested amount will appear in the donation box, but you are able to expand it to choose to not donate, choose a different amount, or choose to input a custom amount.
If a custom amount is chosen, a box will appear where you are able to input the amount that you'd like to donate.
Once a donation is input, select add donation and the following screen will appear where you can also remove the donation if you change your mind.
You are then able to proceed to the payment of your purchase!
