Many event organizers will create a Facebook event weeks or even months before they begin selling tickets through Showpass. In cases such as these, you will want to connect your new or existing Showpass Event to your existing Facebook Event Page. Doing this will allow you to sell tickets for your event directly within Facebook. Any tickets sold on Facebook will be automatically pushed into Showpass.
You must be either an editor or admin of your Facebook event page to complete this process.
Note that linking your Showpass Event to an existing Facebook Event currently does not support events with assigned seating, nor does it support recurring events.
If you have not yet created a Facebook Event Page and are looking to create a new Facebook Event Page for the first time, check out that process here. If you have already created a Facebook Event Page, then proceed to the next steps below.
Creating a NEW Showpass Event and Linking to an Existing Facebook Event Page
Follow the steps outlined here to create a new Showpass Event. Once you have completed this step, you will see a popup prompting you to link to a Facebook event. Click Let's Get Started!
You’ll be presented with a dropdown where you will select the Facebook page as well as the specific event you want to link to.
Next you will see your event tickets displayed below. Select the ticket types you want to sync to Facebook by selecting the checkboxes next to each one. You can also provide a description of each ticket type which will be displayed to ticket buyers on Facebook,
Once you’ve finished selecting and filling out details about your tickets, click Link Tickets to Facebook.
Congratulations! Visitors to your Facebook Event page can now purchase tickets directly from your Facebook page!
Link an EXISTING Showpass Event to an Existing Facebook Event Page
From your Showpass Dashboard, select the menu in the upper left corner and choose Events.
Find the Showpass Event that you want to link to a Facebook Event and click Facebook Integration.
You will be taken to the Facebook integration page. If you have not yet authorized Showpass to connect with your Facebook page, you will be prompted to login with your account (remember, admin or editor access required!)
Click Add tickets to an existing Facebook event
You’ll be presented with a dropdown where you will select the Facebook page as well as the specific event you want to link to.
