Overview: Customers can return free tickets directly through Showpass without needing to contact you! Keep your inventory up to date and get your tickets back online to potential guests in the case a customer can no longer attend your event.
Eligibility for Free Ticket Returns:

- The ticket was purchased with a 100% discount.
- The ticket was marked as complimentary.
- The ticket had a purchase price of $0.

If you want to turn free returns off for certain tickets, you can do so on the Ticket Type level in the advanced Ticket Type settings.
Head into the Edit Event page and scroll to your Ticket Types. Click on the cog to access the advanced Ticket Type settings:
In the first page of the pop up modal, scroll down and find ‘Allow Free Ticket Returns’. Select this to ‘Disallow Free Returns’:
Make sure to save the Ticket Type settings and your event!
As a customer
When a customer has an eligible order including a free ticket, they can return it back into your event inventory by visiting the ‘My Orders’ page:
The customer will navigate to the order they’d like to return, click on ‘Order Options’ and select ‘Return Free Tickets’:
They’ll be prompted to select the ticket(s) they’d like to return in the pop up modal:
After clicking continue, the customer has the option to select a reason for return from the dropdown menu:
After confirming, they’ll receive a successful message letting them know they’ve returned their free ticket(s)!
This will generate a new return receipt for the customer and they will no longer have a barcode or active ticket attached to their order:
