How to Install Showpass Desktop App

Step 1: Install the Showpass App 

  1. Locate the Installer: Open the folder where you saved the installer file.

  3. Run the Installer: Double-click on the installer file to launch it. A warning message may appear indicating that the app is from an unknown developer.

  5. Bypass Security Warning: On Windows 10/11, you might see a "Windows protected your PC" message from Windows Defender SmartScreen. Click on "More info" and then click the "Run anyway" button to proceed with the installation.

  7. Setup Wizard: The setup wizard will open and begin installing the Showpass app. Please wait until the installation process finishes.

  9. Grant Administrator Permissions: You may be prompted to grant administrative permissions to allow the installation. Click "Yes" to proceed.

  11. Complete the Installation: Once the installation process is complete, the Showpass app should automatically open.

You are now ready to start using the Showpass app. Explore its features and functionalities to get the most out of our new Point of Sales App.

 

Step 2: Configure Windows Security Settings (if needed)

If you encounter further issues, you might need to adjust your security settings:
  1. Open Windows Security Settings: Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.

  3. Manage Settings: Under "Virus & threat protection settings," click on "Manage settings."

  5. Turn Off Real-time Protection (temporarily): Toggle off "Real-time protection." Remember to turn it back on after the installation is complete to protect your system from other threats.

  • Installation Issues: If you encounter any issues during the installation process, ensure your system meets the minimum requirements and that you have a stable internet connection. Try disabling antivirus software temporarily if it interferes with the installation.

Step 1: Install the Showpass App

  3. Bypass Security Warning:

    1. Open System Settings.
    2. Go to Privacy & Security.
    3. Scroll down to the Security section. Look for a setting labeled, “Allow applications downloaded from”
    4. Change the setting from App Store to App Store and identified developers
    5. In the main section of the window, look for a section that says, “Showpass X.XX.X” was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer.
    6. Click the Open Anyway button.

  4. Setup Wizard: The setup wizard will open.

    • Please set the Showpass installation destination.

    • Wait until your installation is done.

Step 2: Launch the Showpass App

  • Open the Launchpad
  • Navigate and find the Showpass App.

  • You are now ready to start using the Showpass app. Explore its features and functionalities to get the most out of our new Point of Sales App.
