Selling Assigned Seating Events in the Box Office

Introduction:

To how to sell assign seating event in the Showpass Box Office.

 

1) Getting Started

  • Select an event with assigned seating by pressing the View Event button.
  • This will open a fullscreen event seating map, allowing you to choose the section or seats you want.

2) Select a seat:

  • Hover over a seat to view the available ticket type options for that seat.
  • Click on the seat you want to add to your cart and a modal will appear where you can select the ticket type.
Note: If a seat has only one ticket type available, selecting that seat will automatically add the ticket to the user's cart.

3) Review seat selection:

  • As you select seats and choose their ticket types, they will be displayed in the right column for review.
  • When you’re satisfied with your selection, click the Continue button to return to the main Box Office.

Checkout:
  • Once you’re satisfied with your selection, proceed with the transaction as usual.
 

 

4) Understanding Map Icons

  • Home Icon: Click the home icon to return to the map’s starting position after zooming in or out.
  • Legend Icon: Click the Legend icon to open a modal displaying a legend of all available ticket types, pricing, and any annotations on the map.
  • Plus Icon: Click to zoom in.
  • Minus Icon: Click to zoom out.

4) Limitations

  • Conditional Ticket Types:
    • Ticket types cannot be made conditional on each other. For example, you cannot set up rules where a child ticket type can only be purchased if an adult ticket type is also in the cart.
  • Leaving Seats at the End of a Row:
    • Seats cannot be left at the end of a row. If you select a seat at the edge of a row, you must also select the adjacent seat or adjust your selection.
    • If you attempt to remove a seat that would leave an end seat available, you must also remove the seat next to it. The pop-up will look like this:
