Introduction:
The ticket exchange feature allows you to exchange customers tickets by creating a temporary exchange credit that expires within an hour if not used. To start an exchange from the Box Office, ensure that exchanges are enabled. For instructions on how to enable exchanges, please click here.
1) Add Customer:
- Select the "Add Customer" button.
2) Search for Customer:
- Search for the customer using either their name or email address.
- Select View Info to bring up the customers profile.
3) View Transactions:
Once you have the customer profile up, Select Transactions from the left-hand menu to view the customer's transactions.
4) Begin Exchange:
- On the transaction you want to exchange, click the menu icon and select Begin Exchange.
- A confirmation modal will appear.
- Click Start Exchange to proceed.
5) Apply and Remove Exchanges Credits
To apply or remove credits from the basket, follow these steps:
Apply Exchange Credits:
- After starting an exchange, your cart will display the credits available for use on any events by the same organizers.
- Add a valid exchange ticket type to your cart.
- If the ticket added is valid, the Exchange credit banner will display an Apply button.
Remove Exchange Credits:
- Select Remove Credit to remove the credit from the cart order.
- If credits are removed from the current cart, they can still be applied to valid another order.
- Credits will expire if not used within the hour, and the original purchase will remain valid.
6) Limitations
- The new tickets must be of equal or greater value and for events hosted by the same organizers.
- Temporary credits will be issued and are valid for 1 hour. If the credits are not used within that time, the original ticket(s) will remain valid.
- Once the temporary credits are applied to a new purchase, the original purchase will no longer be valid.
- You can set a time restriction on allowing exchanges leading up to the event's start time on the event detail page, under Advanced Options.
