Scanning offline without wifi using the mobile app

If you're hosting an event without Wi-Fi or wireless internet available at the door, we offer an offline scanning option using the Showpass app. However, please keep in mind that you need to set up Steps 1-3 of this process while connected to Wi-Fi in order to scan attendees offline. You will upload the offline scan data before connecting to the internet. 
 

Process:

Step 1: Log in to your Showpass organizer account while connected to a Wi-Fi network.
 
Step 2: Access the menu by clicking on the profile circle located in the top right corner. Then, select 'offline mode' by clicking the 'Start Offline Mode' button. A message will appear, and you should click on "Start" to proceed.


 
 

 

 
 
Step 3: Prepare for scanning as you normally would. Choose the Venue, Event, and Ticket Types you'll be scanning while offline. Once ready, click on 'Start Scanning'.
 
 
 
 

Step 4: You can now disconnect from the internet or move to the designated offline area where you'll be scanning customers.

 
 
Step 6: To upload your offline scan data when you're finished scanning in guests, click on the menu located in the top left-hand corner. You'll do so before connecting to the internet. This will bring up the following screen:

Important! Remember to click on 'Upload Offline Tickets' at this point. It is crucial to complete this step before going back online. Failure to do so will result in the loss of all scan data.

 
Step 7: Once you have successfully uploaded your offline scan data, click on your profile icon in the top right-hand corner. Then, select 'Stop Offline Mode'. A pop-up reminder will appear, prompting you to upload the scan data. Click on 'Stop' if you have completed Step 6 and uploaded your offline scan data.
